 Henry T. Deren of Holland and Richboro died peacefully on Friday December 4, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 89.

​Born in Hazelton, Pennsylvania he was the beloved husband of the late Mary A. Pollak Deren, son of the late John and Mary Deren. He was predeceased by a son Thomas and a granddaughter Hannah. 

Henry was a graduate of Hazelton High School, class of 1942. He received his Bachelors Degree from LaSalle University.  Henry proudly served in the United States Navy, during World War II and the Cuban Missile Crisis, retiring as a 1st Lieutenant. After his retirement he taught Math and Science at New Hope-Solebury High School for several years.  

Henry was lover of good music, especially the Piano and the Accordion, of which he could play both. Family came first and foremost, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren where the sparkle in his eyes.  Family dinners and holidays together made everything special.  

Henry is survived by his devoted children; Beverly D. Muller and her husband Paul, Millicent Burman, Nancy Fread, Henry Deren Jr., Mark Deren and Jeff Deren and his wife Lorie. He was very proud of his 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother and a sister.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday December 9, 2015 from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd. Newtown. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Henry’s memory may be made to St. Andrew’s Education Center, Attn: Jennifer McDonald, 51 Wrights Rd. Newtown, PA. 18940.
