Mary Jane Geiss of Holland died Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Aria Health Torresdale Campus in Philadelphia, She was 81.
Mary Jane was the beloved wife of 60 years to Albert J. Geiss.
Born in Philadelphia, Mary Jane was the daughter of the late Leo and Sophie Carey and the Mother of the late Maureen McNicholas.
Mary Jane has been a resident of Holland for over 40 years having formerly resided in Northeast Philadelphia. She was an Executive Secretary for 16 years for Bucks County Children and Youth Social Services Agency in Doylestown until her retirement. Mary Jane was a Communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Holland and in her leisure enjoyed traveling and reading. Her true joy and pleasure in life was the quality times spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who came to know her.
In addition to her husband Albert, Mary Jane is survived by her children; Brian A. Geiss and his wife Elaine of Newtown, Christopher J. Geiss and his wife Colleen of Newtown, and Mark E. Geiss and his wife Barbara of Philadelphia. She is also survived by her sister Jean Sudell of Philadelphia, her 11grandchildren and her son-in-law Kevin McNicholas of Philadelphia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday, October 22nd from 10:00am to 11:15am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954 and to her Funeral Mass 12:00pm in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966. Mary Jane’s interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery in Newtown.
