Lawrence “Larry” Adair passed away peacefully on October 18, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne surrounded by friends and family.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of nearly 61 years, Rita Timlin Adair.
Born in Philadelphia on November 17, 1929 to the late Lawrence Sr. and Lillian Weideman Adair he has been a resident of Northampton Township for the past 43 years.
Larry proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked in construction for many years after serving as a police officer in Philadelphia. Ever the comedian, Larry always lightened the burdens of tragedy, adversity and challenge with humor. He will always be treasured for his selfless gifts of kindness.
In addition to his loving wife, he will be missed by his brothers James and Phillip, nieces, nephews and his special “daughter” Donna, “son-in-law” Don, “granddaughter” Tiffany and “great granddaughter” Ella and of course those cherished friends who constantly surrounded him and Rita with their love and affection. His dog and best buddy for 17 years, Beau, will be lost without him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday, October 22, from 9:00 AM until his Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd. Holland, PA 18966. His interment with military honors will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
