Jean A. Schumann of Willow Grove and formerly of Roslyn died peacefully surrounded by her loving and devoted family on Monday, October 12, 2015 at PowerBack Rehabilitation in Hatboro. She was 85.
Jean was the beloved wife of the late Arthur F. Schumann.
Born and Raised in Wyndmoor, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy Greiner Neely, sister of the late Dottie Conner, Johnny Neely, and Sis Goodell, and the mother-in-law of the late Jim Banecker.
Jean and her husband Arthur raised their family in Roslyn, PA. She worked for the Abington School District for many years as an Educational Assistant at Abington High School. She enjoyed times spent bowling, dancing, and rooting for the Phillies, but above all, Jean cherished the memories she created with her daughters and most especially with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by everyone who has had the pleasure to know and love her.
Jean is survived by her daughters; Cyndi Banecker of Warminster, PA and Laurie Hunter and her husband Ed of Chalfont, PA. She is also survived by her sister Patti Sokel, her brother Bob Neely, and her four grandchildren; Lindsay and Ryan Banecker, and Tyler and Jared Hunter.
Jean’s Family will receive friends on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 10:00am until her Memorial Service 11:00am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. Her interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA.
