Thomas N. Waid (aka “Farmer” ) of Doylestown, passed away surrounded by his loving family at his residence on Saturday October 3, 2015. He was 57.

Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Nathan I. and Gloria Stott Waid.

Tom was raised in Feasterville and graduated from Neshaminy High School. He went on to work for Magnaflux in Trevose for 10 years. Thereafter he led a long 30 year career with UPS, with a route in and around Southampton.

An avid outdoorsman, Tom was always up for just about anything, whether it was hunting and fishing or his yearly trips to the Outer Banks, of North Carolina with friends and family.

Tom will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as a loving brother, uncle, and friend who was devoted to his many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his sister, Nancy Cziriak and her husband, Werner, of Warrington; his nieces and nephews, Steve Laphen and his wife, Amanda; Dr. Jeffrey Laphen and his wife, Heather; William Laphen and his wife, Eileen; Megan Cziriak; and Kurt Cziriak. He also leaves behind eight great-nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited on Wednesday, October 14th to Talamore Country Club, 723 Talamore Dr., Ambler, PA 19002 for a celebration of Tom’s life. There will be a time to greet the family from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, with a Memorial Service following. His interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675 or to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA 19103.
