It is with heavy hearts we share the death of George J. Marcinkowski.  With his wife and four children by his side, George peacefully departed our presence to be with The Lord on October 3, 2015 after 70 years of life, love and laughter.  He was the kind, compassionate and tender hearted husband of Mary Ann Zabinski Marcinkowski.  Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Bruno and Ann Strohs Marcinkowski.

George had a heart to serve and love others well.  Quick with a smile and generous with big bear hugs, George had a way of making everyone he encountered feel special.  As a beloved Guidance Counselor in the Central Bucks School District for 35 years, George had a passion for leading and encouraging children of all ages to be their best.  Gathering with friends and family on a beach, tennis court or a ski slope was his favorite place to be.

In addition to his wife, George is survived by his children, Paul and his wife, Marlene of Kailua Kona, HI, Jeff and his wife, Cindy, of Doylestown, PA, Greg and his wife, Christine, of Columbia, MD and Melissa Anderson and her husband Mark, of Roswell, GA.  His 6 grandchildren Paige, Abigail, Graham, Grace, Lila, and Aurora, adored their Poppy and each sweet grandchild was a treasure in George's eyes.

He also leaves 2 siblings, Ronald Marcinkowski and his wife, Betty of Bethlehem, PA and Jacqueline Repper and her husband, Ed, of Wrightstown, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Bruno Marcinkowski.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate George's life and visit with his family on Wednesday October 7, 2015 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.   A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM.  Both events will be held at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain, PA 18901.  His interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.  http://www.chop.edu
