Paul A. Barras of Chalfont passed away following complications from a sudden heart attack on Tuesday, September 29, 2015. He was 40. Paul was the beloved husband of 5 years to Emily S. Barras and the loving and adoring father of his two boys, Joey and Casey Barras.
Born in Philadelphia in 1975, he was a son of Ronald E. and Mary Theresa Higgins Barras and attended St. Ephrem School and Bishop Egan High School.
An avid Philadelphia sports fan, but soccer was Paul's passion right up until the end. He played soccer his entire life, most recently for PA Rush Soccer Club, and coached youth soccer at Upper Moreland Soccer Club and PA Rush as well. He was a role model in the game for his many nieces and nephews. The youngest of six children Paul had a rich and diverse love of music spanning many decades and genres.
Paul worked in Information Technology holding positions with Jones of New York and most recently at Toll Brothers. His gentle and friendly way made him a natural in desk side support because he loved nothing more than to help others in their time of need, whether they be coworkers or family and friends.
In addition to his wife, children, and parents, Paul is survived by his siblings, Ron E., Jr. and his wife, Kathy, Tim and his wife, Barb, Rob and his wife, Patty, Mike, and Rosemary Moran and her husband, John; his sisters-in-law, Sarah S.
