John J. Kalata of Richboro, PA died peacefully on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Attleboro Health Care, Langhorne. He was 67.

He was the beloved husband of Carolyn Saravo Kalata for 45 years.

Born in Stanley, WI, he was the son of the late Casimir P. and Helen Stangret Kalata.

Mr. Kalata was a resident of Richboro for 37 years. After attending Girard College, he went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from LaSalle College, Class of 1969. He continued his education by attending evening class and received his Master’s of Business Administration from Drexel University in 1976. Before his retirement in May 2014 he was Corporate Controller at Sparks Exhibits in Philadelphia for many years.

He enjoyed fine woodworking, carpentry and all types of home renovations. He also liked a good round of golf and was a devoted Eagles fan. Through his outgoing personality, John became an instant friend to everyone he met. He will be sadly missed as a loving husband, father, brother and friend to all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his two children, Josh Kalata and his fiance, Marilyn Malin, of Moorestown, NJ and Courtney Kalata Jost and her husband, David, of Hatboro, PA. He is also survived by his brother, Charles C. Kalata and his wife, Vera, of Philadelphia and his sister-in-law, Mildred Tarquinio of Philadelphia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings on Sunday evening, October 4, 2015, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Monday, October 5, 2015, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA and to his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966.

Entombment will take place at New St. Mary Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
