Mary L. Formica of Richboro and formerly a long time resident of Newtown passed away on September 21, 2015.  She was 79.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Formica and mother of the late Joseph J. Formica, Jr.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Lillian Leible Schrier.

Mary graduated from Little Flower High School with the class of 1954.  She went on to meet and marry her husband and together they raised their seven children. 

Mary enjoyed crocheting and would often share her blankets, sweaters, etc. with friends and family.  She loved to garden, dance, and sing at Church as well as spending time with her family and friends at the beach in Brigantine, NJ.  Above all else, she will be remembered for her steadfast love and devotion for her family who will miss her dearly. 

Mary is survived by her dear children, Cynthia Hendricks and her husband, Robert, of Texas, Jeffrey Formica and his wife, Angie, of Texas, Gary Formica and his wife, Kathy, of San Jose, CA, Lisa Rentz and her husband, Ken, of Newtown, John A. Formica and his wife, Julie, of Chalfont, and Michael C. Formica and his wife, Angela, of San Jose, CA.  She also leaves behind nine adoring grandchildren; her sisters, Catherine M. Kubiak of Richboro and Alma E. Sicilia of Huntingdon Valley; and her sister-in-law, Rita Schrier. 

In addition to her husband and her son, she was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, October 3, from 9:45 to 10:45 AM at St. Dominic Church, 8504 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19136with her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  Her interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s name to American Stroke Association, 5455 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43216.
