Marie E. Weinman of Newtown, PA died peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown. She was 96.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph R. Weinman for 35 years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Mary Tracey Ward and sister of the late John, Joseph, Hatch, Charles, Grace and Cass Ward.

Marie was a resident at Chandler Hall in Newtown for the past 5 years. She formerly lived in the Wissinoming section of Philadelphia for 62 years and was a parishioner of St. Bartholomew Church. Her Catholic faith was an important part of her life. Marie was completely devoted to her family and enjoyed the special times spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her two daughters, Donna M. Cooper and her husband, Kenneth, of Langhorne, PA, Sue E. Egan and her husband, Michael, of Holland, PA, her brother Edward Ward and his wife, Teresa, of Levittown, and her sister, Dolores DeVincentis of Philadelphia, PA. She is also survived by her six loving grandchildren; Megan Seneff (Joe), Christen Conly (Dan), Michael Egan (Laura), Katie Hutches (Jason), Kevin Cooper, Elizabeth Egan. She was known affectionately as “Gi Gi” to her 9 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewings on Monday evening, September 21, 2015, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, September 22, 2015, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954 and to her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will take place at Magnolia Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
