Teresa L. Snyder, died peacefully on August 29, 2015. She was 89.

Born 1926, three years before the Great Depression, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Stimmel) O’Connor. Teresa was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank V. Snyder in 2009, after 58 years of marriage.

Teresa was a proud graduate of West Philadelphia Catholic Girls High School, Class of 1944. She was active in the alumnae and ran their class reunion for many years including her 70th in 2014. Teresa was an ardent defender of the Life of the Unborn since 1970 and served on the board of the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition. Teresa and her husband Frank traveled extensively and enjoyed many good times with friends and family and had a lot of laughter in their lives. Teresa will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her Roman Catholic faith, and her devotion and faithfulness to her entire family.

Teresa and Frank felt blessed to be the parents of ten children. Family values were foremost to them, and their children continue with the Snyder family values as treasured gifts from their parents: Mary (Karl Knapp), Nancy (Andrew Stoehr), Debby (Fred Kull), Frank, Jane, Joan (Paul Morris), Patricia (Bill McCloskey), Joe (Theresa), Jim (Dawn) and Katy (Rob Yoos). Teresa was the cherished and loving Nana of twenty-five grandchildren, Tara Knapp and Laura Fox (Andrew), Joseph (Liz), Marian Daggett (Brett) and Elizabeth Stoehr, John , Kevin and Brian Kull, Frank “Quint” McDonnell (Allison), Ann Demaio (Joe) and Claire Sitarz, Megan Moyer (Brian), Bill (Kimberly), Kelly Brazil (Paul) & Sean McCloskey, Christopher, Bridget & Riley Snyder, Maureen, Matthew & Michael Snyder, Sarah, Carolyn, Brett & Maura Yoos. Great-Grandmother of Austin & Natalie Fox, Benedict, Matilda & Atticus Daggett, Delaney & Lily McDonnell, John & Molly Moyer and Jack Brazil.

Teresa is also survived by many nieces and nephews; her sister –in-law, Carmela Snyder, and brother-in-law, Lou Kuhn. She was preceded in death by her dear sister Marie and her brother Thomas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday evening September 4th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd. Richboro and on Saturday at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse Rd. Jamison, from 9:30am to 10:45 am and to her Funeral Mass 11:00 am. Interment will be private in Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Teresa’s name to West Catholic High School, 4501 Chestnut St, Philadelphia PA 19139 or to Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition, 913 Truman Court, Warrington, PA 18976.
