Clarice McMaster Solly of Ivyland, died peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Brookdale of Northampton. She was 91.

Born in Davisville, Clarice was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Morrell Solly and daughter of the late Harry and Amy Comly McMaster and sister of the late Josephine Fluck.

Clarice was known to family and friends as “Mickey”, she was a graduate of Southampton High School, class of 1942. “Mickey”, worked for many years for the Insurance Company of North America as a secretary and commuted to Philadelphia by train. Mickey had many secretarial jobs over the years including working for the Northampton Tax Office.

Family came first and foremost and for 20 years she helped manage and operate the Solly Brothers Farm Market in Ivyland with her husband and his 2 brothers and her 2 sisters in law. What Mickey loved most was being a “Grandmother” and help babysit her 8 dear grandchildren.

She was a former member of Davisville Baptist Church until 1950, when she became a member of the Addisville Reformed Church, where she taught Sunday school, cooked for the annual bazaar luncheon and was involved in the circle meetings. She was also a member of the Middletown Grange # 684.

Mickey, enjoyed reading, gardening and knitting and to this day loved her trips to Florida and Lancaster with her husband.

Mickey is survived by her devoted daughters and their spouses; Nancy and Frank O’Hara and Patricia and Richard Zimmer. She is also survived by her 8 dear grandchildren Shannon, Kristin, Michelle, Jeanette, Richard Jr., Ryan, Kurtis, and Kyle and her 9 great-grandchildren; Conor, Justin, Morgan, Delaney, Jackson, Abigail, Reese, Madeline and Juliet. Her Brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Joanne Solly and Barbara Solly, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday, August 31, from 9:30 am until her Funeral Service 11:00 at the Addisville Reformed Church 945 Second Street Pike, Richboro. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Richboro.  

In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Addisville Reformed Church, at the above address.
