Robert W. Hodgson, of Upper Southampton, passed away following a brief illness on Wednesday August 19, 2015 at his daughter’s home. He was 75.

Born in Freeland, PA he was a son of the late John G. and Anna Opiary Hodsgon.

A graduate of Freeland High School, Robert went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Penn State University, class of 1961. He was employed with AT & T for his entire career, retiring from the position of District Manager.

Robert was an avid sports fan. He loved watching soccer, football and baseball. He also enjoyed fishing and stamp collecting. His biggest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He will be dearly missed as a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

Robert is survived by his children, Cathleen E. Geiger and her husband, Bernhart, of Churchville and Elizabeth A. Hartzell and her husband, Howard, of Glen Rock, PA. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Bernhart Geiger, Jr. and John Geiger and Jessica and Benjamin Hartzell. He is also survived by his brother, John G. Hodgson, Jr. and his wife, Betty, of Hazelton.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Robert’s family on Thursday August 27, 2015 from 6:30 PM until his Memorial Service 7:30 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954. His interment will be private.
