Geralyn Winner Roden, 80, of Huntingdon Valley died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 19, 2015.

Geralyn is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Lincoln Roden III; three daughters Melanie Winner Roden Bartlett (Frederick Henry Bartlett III), Robin Halley Roden Jones, and Valerie-Clark Roden (H. Eugene Lindemann III); five grandchildren Frederick Henry Bartlett IV, Lincoln Roden Bartlett, Emily Winner Bartlett, Kirstie Fisher Jones, Stephanie Feichtner Jones; two great grandchildren Violet Rose Bartlett and Lincoln Robert Bartlett; predeceased by her parents, Edwin Winner, Sr. and Pearl Ritter Winner, and brothers Edwin Winner, Jr. and Samuel David Winner.

Geralyn was born to the late Edwin and Pearl Winner on September 17th, 1934 in Abington, PA. Geralyn attended Abington Friends School and Bennington College, Vermont.

Before her marriage in 1955 she pursued her career in classical ballet with the Thomas Cannon Company. Her most memorable moment was performing in Sadler’s Wells “Giselle” with Robert Helpmann and Dame Margot Fonteyn with La Scala Opera Company of Philadelphia before attending Bennington.

Geralyn married Lincoln Roden III on November 5, 1955 at Saint Thomas Episcopal Church in Whitemarsh and they resided in Huntingdon Valley happily for 60 years. She was a hard working, loyal, vibrant and intelligent individual. Geralyn exuded elegance, grace, and beauty in person and soul. She was beloved by family and many friends.

A lover of nature, Geralyn along with Lincoln created stunningly beautiful perennial, azalea, and rhododendron gardens and she had a special talent for floral arrangements and arranging the décor of their home.
