James P. Martino of Holland died peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2015, with his family by his side at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was 53.

Born in Abington, Jim was the beloved husband of 29 years to Karen L. (Seidel) Martino. He was the devoted son of Mary D. (Angelillo) and the late Pasquale C. Martino.

Jim was a life long resident of Holland; he was a 1982 graduate of Council Rock High School. He was a professional barber since the age of 18 who followed in his father’s footsteps. Jim worked along with his father and brother Michael for many years before opening the Holland Barber Shop in 1994.

Jim was a family man, who dedicated his whole being to his wife and children; he looked forward to his time in Wildwood Crest with his family and friends and traveling with his wife and children. He also liked cars especially Mustangs and Corvettes. Jim will be remembered for his generous smile and quick wit.

In addition to his beloved wife and mother, Jim is survived by his loving children Nicholas J., Lauren A., Matthew G. (Mattu), and Christopher A. Martino; his siblings, Linda Yerkes and her husband, Gerald, Charles P. Martino and his wife Barbara, and Michael Martino.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Jim was especially fond of his two nieces, Danielle Nucero (Michael) and Kelly DeRosa (John).

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.)
