Catherine M. Campo of North Wales, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday July 12, 2015 at Doylestown Hospital. She was 78.
She was the beloved wife of Louis J. Campo Sr. The two would have celebrated their 60th Wedding anniversary in December of this year.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Florence Sodano Green.
Catherine grew up in Philadelphia and was a graduate of Little Flower High School in Philadelphia. She was a force to be reckoned with in the kitchen; with her husband Lou as her co-chef, her meals brought families and neighbors together and even resulted in applause on several occasions. She loved animals, gardening, quilting, playing card games, traveling, and, most of all, spending time with friends and family.
Catherine was generous with her love and devotion. While she liked to try her hand at the slot machines every now and then, true abundance to her came in the form of family and dear friends. She was a woman of great faith, lighting a candle every week asking the Holy Family to watch over her family.
In addition to her husband, Catherine is survived by her children, Louis J. Campo, Jr. and his wife Marie, Michael D. Campo and his wife Kim, and Therese Catherine Swain. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren; Michael Swain and his wife Amanda, Ashley Swain, Justin Campo, Jonathan Campo, Alex Campo, Lisa Campo and Christina Campo Mangir and her husband Cem, and her 3 great grandchildren; Rylan Campo, Baileigh Swain and Natalie Swain.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 10:00AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00AM at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, 1325 Upper State Rd., North Wales, PA 19454. Her interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
