Walter Boyko, Jr., 70, of Holland, PA a beloved Philadelphia educator, Corvette enthusiast, and family man passed away June 8^th. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Rose (nee Dellaporte); his two children, Christina Rose (and her husband Ronald Chang) and Todd Michael; two grandchildren; and sister Carol Crotty and her husband Edward.

Walter and his wife, Donna, met while both dressed as clowns for the Gimbels’ Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1968.

Walter had a passion for education. He was a Philadelphia school teacher for 40 years. He taught elementary school at William Rowen and JJ Greenberg. In addition to spending summers at the Jersey Shore, he would also teach summer camp.

He is a graduate of Roman Catholic class of 1963. He graduated from LaSalle University (class of 1967) and in his quest for continuing education, received a Masters in Education from Villanova University.

In retirement, he enjoyed being part of the Corvette Club of Delaware Valley and participating in parades and activities with the club. He also was an avid traveler, both in the US and abroad. He loved history, especially Civil War history and collecting memorabilia.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966 on Monday, June 15, 2015. The viewing will be held from 9am to 11am and Mass will begin at 11am.
