William MacLeod, of Doylestown, PA died on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Greenleaf Nursing Home, Doylestown. He was 94.

He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret V. Kehoe MacLeod.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he was the son of the late Victor and Sarah Rogers MacLeod.

Bill grew up in Philadelphia and in 1939 married his beloved Margaret. Then in 1943 he joined the US Army and proudly served his country during World War II as a Staff Sergeant.

In the early 1950’s he moved to Doylestown and began a career with FMC, Link Belt in Colmar that lasted for over 32 years.

Bill was very talented with his hands and had a good eye to see how things would work. These skills were enhanced during his time in the Army and remained with him after his return home as he was always fixing things for his family and friends. He loved photography, boating, bowling and keeping himself physically in shape. However, above all he was a dedicated husband and father and friend who will be truly missed.

He is survived by his two daughters Barbara J. Perry and her husband George of Hamburg, PA, and Dorothy A. Mara and her husband Wayne of Kensington, MD. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren Gwendolyn (Patrick) Anderson, Megan (Marc) Pajarillo, Ian (Robin) Mara, and Caitie (Kieran) Mara and his 7 great-grandchildren Emi, Alex, Cormac, Brigid, Eamon, Colin, and Ivy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 9:30 am until his Funeral Mass, 10:30 AM at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA 18914. His entombment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
