E. Donald “Don” Noll, of New Britain, PA died on Friday, May 22, 2015, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 81.
He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Eleanor L. Noll.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles and Bernadine Mulholland Noll.
Don grew up in the Germantown Section of Philadelphia and after graduating from Abington High School he continued his education at LaSalle College where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 1957.
After graduating, Don’s served his country in the US Army and upon his return began his career as a chemist. His knowledge and skills were extensive which allowed him to work in various industries from pharmaceutical to food, before retiring in 1996.
For over 51 years he lived in New Britain where he raised his loving family. When he was not working, Don enjoyed reading, keeping up on current events and fishing. However he had a true passion for cooking and baking that was thoroughly enjoyed by family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Eugene Noll of Falls Church, VA, Douglas and Cindy Noll of Doylestown, and Pamela McGee of New Britain, his brother Dale Noll of Georgia, and his sister Marybeth Salvagio of Florida. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren: Eric, Brian, Megan and Sabrina
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 9:00 am until his Funeral Mass 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. His interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to The Cancer Institute at Doylestown Hospital, 595 West State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
