Frederick P. Mueller Jr. of Langhorne, PA died peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at home with his family by his side. He was 98.

He was the beloved husband of the late Gertrude R. Marshall Mueller for 67 years prior to her death in May 2014.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Frederick P. Sr. and Alice M. Hause Mueller, father of the late Gary E. Mueller and brother of the late Agnes Wood.

Fred was a resident of Langhorne for the past 6 years. He formerly lived in Richboro for 49 years, having moved there in 1960. He attended Olney High School in Philadelphia. Fred was employed as an auto mechanic for 55 years before his retirement in 1982. In his leisure time he enjoyed gardening, remodeling his home and building models of boats, ships and planes, and he frequently designed and built original pieces of furniture and other items through his self-taught mastery of woodworking. He kept his mind sharp by doing puzzles and crossword puzzles over many years. He was the oldest charter member of the Advent Lutheran Church, Richboro and was a Master Mason for more than 35 years, having affiliated with the Newtown Masonic Lodge in Newtown, PA.

He will be sadly missed as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his two daughters, Shirley Ann Wood and her husband, William Wunder, of Langhorne, and Donna Lee Boruta and her husband, Mark, of Southampton, as well as his brother, John Mueller of Levittown, PA. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Kristopher Wood (Stephanie), Erica Wood, Tara Wood, Susan Wood, and Thomas Mueller, and 4 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, May 15, from 9:00 AM until his Funeral Service 10:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954.
