Richard V. Gentile of Yardley, PA died on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was 74.

He was the beloved husband of Maria N. Penna Gentile for 44 years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel and Frances Foti Gentile.

Mr. Gentile was a resident of Yardley for the past 38 years. He graduated from Northeast Catholic High School for Boys in Philadelphia, Class of 1958. He then went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Temple University in 1962. He was a very ambitious entrepreneur having owned many successful businesses since the age of twenty, including his proudest accomplishment, Andorra Farms Dairies, a food distribution company in Levittown. He then continued for many years in the food service industry and equipment sales. Mr. Gentile enjoyed fishing, boating, road trips, traveling with his family and he absolutely loved his dogs. He had a kind and compassionate heart, and was always willing to help someone out. He will be sadly missed as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his four children, Francine T. Gentile of Doylestown, Samuel D. Gentile and his wife, Deborah, of Bristol, Adelina N. Sked and her husband, Steven, of Yardley and Jacqueline R. O’Brien and her husband, Christopher, of Doylestown. He is also survived by his 8 loving grandchildren, Devon, Paige, Sienna, Olivia, Jessica, Patrick, Carmyn and Dawson and his dear cousin, Patricia LaMacchia of Philadelphia, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Sunday evening, April 26, 2015, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, April 27, 2015, from 8:15 to 9:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954 and to his Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, PA 19067. Interment will take place at Newtown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
