Elizabeth Cornell Luff, lifelong resident and Historian of Northampton Township died peacefully on April 5, 2015 at the age of 90.

Born in Richboro, she was the beloved wife of 53 years to the late C. Vincent Luff who died in 1997. She was the daughter of the late John Banes Cornell and Margaret Atkinson Weiss Cornell. She was predeceased by her sisters Edith Fitzgerald, Edna Hawkins and Esther Neeld.

Betty, as she was known to family and friends, graduated in 1942 from Richboro High School. Betty and Vince raised their children on the family farm until it was sold and is now the Pheasant Run development in Holland. Betty then worked tirelessly to research family genealogy and also to preserve and maintain records, maps and books that contain historical Northampton Township information. With all her knowledge of genealogy and Northampton she wrote many articles for the "Historia".

She was a founding member of the Northampton Township Historical Society and received the Living Tree Award in 1997. In March of 2002 she received the Northampton Township Citizen of the Month Award and in 2008 was recognized by the Northampton Historical Commission for 35 years of service. She will always be remembered, for her warmth, gentle manor and stories that would warm your heart.

Betty was also a life long member of the North and Southampton Reformed Church in Churchville.

She is survived by her devoted children Gerald Luff (Jean Boccelli), Peggy DeYoung and her husband Gerald, Phyllis Orrino and her husband Thomas, and Teri Pagnotta and her husband Daniel. She is also survived by her 11 dear grandchildren; Douglas Luff, Robert DeYoung (Lisa), Jody Sckupakus (Frank), Angelene DeYoung, Thomas Orrino (Alison), Jennifer Swenson (Shaun), Jacqueline Orrino, Christine DiPilla (Michael), Daniel Pagnotta Jr. (Mollie), Kelly Pagnotta (fiance Matt Pingitor), Kaitlyn Pagnotta and 14 great grandchildren: Robert Jr., Brianna and Joseph DeYoung, Jake and Jordan Sckupakus, Thomas , III, and Ryan Orrino, Carmyn and Carly Swenson, Madison, Kamryn and Alice DiPilla, Colbie and Landon Pagnotta.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 9:30 AM until her funeral service 11:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Richboro.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Memorial Fund of the North and Southampton Reformed Church, 1380 Bristol Road, Churchville, PA 18966.
