William F. Zeiger of Langhorne, PA died peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2015, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 88.
He was the beloved husband of the late Rita T. Matteo Zeiger.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late William F. and Lucy Brandt Zeiger and brother of the late Dorothy Zeiger.
Mr. Zeiger was a resident of Langhorne for the past 3 years and formerly lived in Newtown since 1978. He attended Northeast Catholic High School for Boys in Philadelphia. Mr. Zeiger was a proud Marine Corps veteran who proudly served his country during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Post #0440 in Newtown. William also was a retired member of Teamsters Local 107. In his leisure time he enjoyed reading, taking trips to the casinos, and was a avid Philadelphia sports fan. He enjoyed the special times spent with his family and will be sadly missed as a loving father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara A. Garcia and her husband, Julio, of Collegeville, PA, his son, William F. Zeiger of Mays Landing, NJ and his brother, John Zeiger and his wife, Rita, of Philadelphia. He is also survived by his loving granddaughter, Amanda E. Garcia of Collegeville, PA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings on Friday evening, March 13, 2015, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954 and on Saturday, March 14, 2015, from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at the Olde Church of Saint Andrew, 135 S. Sycamore Street, Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
