Marie E. Bergan of Langhorne died Monday, February 9, 2015 at Chandler Hall in Newtown surrounded by her loving family. She was 83.

Marie was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Joseph J. Bergan, Jr.

Born in Philadelphia, Marie was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Karpiak Sullick and the mother-in-law of the late Scott Weber.

Marie was a resident of Langhorne for over 25 years having formerly resided in Philadelphia. She had worked with Aria Health-Torresdale Division in Philadelphia in the Medical Records Department for over 20 years. She was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church in Langhorne and in her leisure she attended the Neshaminy Senior Center. Her true joy in her life was the quality times that she spent with her grandchildren. Marie was instrumental in the development of her grandchildren and was often the hub and center of their activities. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother and wife and will be truly missed by everyone who came to know her.

Marie is survived by her dearest children, Marie C. Weber of Harrisburg, Ellen M. Harney and her husband Michael of Holland, Michigan, Kathleen M. Pfender and her husband James, Joseph J. Bergan, III and Lorraine A. Balara, all of Langhorne. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Christine, Nicholas, Timothy, Brittany and Andrew.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 9:00am to 10:45am followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00am in Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 Bellevue Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
