Eileen M. Slavin-Thompson of Southampton passed away on Wednesday January 14, 2015 with her loving family by her side. She was 55.

            She was the beloved wife of 17 years to Timothy P. Thompson.

            Born in Philadelphia she was a daughter of Francis J. and Dorothy H. McCombes Slavin.

            Eileen was a 1977 graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Gwynedd Mercy College. She was employed as a nurse for six years with Fox Chase Cancer Center.

            Eileen possessed a deep passion for travelling and turned that passion into her career first as an agent for Transworld Travel and then later by founding her own company, Infinite Horizons Travel. She simply loved planning vacations and adventures not only for her own family but also for others.

            In addition to her work, Eileen was a great lover of music and also enjoyed baking and cooking for family and friends. She was a parishioner of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Holland and her faith was of the utmost importance to her.

            Above all else, Eileen was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister who will be remembered by all who loved her for her devotion to her family, friends, and her faith.

            In addition to her husband and parents, Eileen is survived by her daughter, Victoria F. Thompson, her sister, Patricia A. Keeley (James), her brother, Francis J. Slavin and her mother and father-in-law, William and Agnes M. Thompson and countless other relatives and friends.

            Relatives and friends may attend her viewing on Monday January 19, 2015 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954 and again on Tuesday January 20, 2015 from 9:30 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd, Holland, PA 18966. Her interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.

            In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to The Eileen Thompson Memorial Fund (to be used for the education of her daughter Victoria), First National Bank of Newtown, 40 S State St., Newtown, PA 18940 or St Bede the Venerable Parrish, 1071 Holland Road, Holland PA 18966.
