Gino R. Francescangeli Jr., of New Britain, PA died on Monday, January 5, 2015, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital with his family by his side. He was 61.
He was the beloved husband of 33 years to Colleen (Taylor) Francescangeli.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Gino and Margaret Flanagan Francescangeli.
Gino grew up in Philadelphia and Warminster. He was a 1971 graduate of Archbishop Wood High School and graduate of The College of New Jersey. Gino enjoyed the company of the many colleagues and friends he met as he traveled around the country as Director of National Fleet for Pep Boys.
Gino spent much of his adult life involved in the CYO basketball programs at St. John Bosco, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and St. Jude parishes. He was a devoted member of the St. Jude Parish community, participating in both school and parish activities. There’s nothing Gino loved more than fishing off the beaches of his beloved Long Beach Island, NJ. He was an avid fishing rod builder and boater.
The center of Gino’s world was his family. “Family Time” was what mattered most to him and is the legacy that he leaves behind.
In addition to his wife, Gino is survived by his children Mari Rose, Timothy, Matthew, and Margaret Francescangeli, his sister Karen Myers and his 3 brothers Barry, Thomas and Richard Francescangeli. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
