Nancy F. Homnick of Yarmouth Port, MA and formerly of Fairfield, CT, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Arden Courts of Yardley, PA. She was 80.

Nancy was the beloved wife of 56 years to John A. Homnick.

Born in Bridgeport, CT, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Irene Sweet Foisy.

Nancy was a graduate of Manchester (CT) High School and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Connecticut, where she was a member of and remained a dedicated alumna to her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Nancy’s passion was for her family whom she loved dearly. She was devoted to raising her children, and once they were grown she worked as an office administrator for more than 10 years.

Following retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling to places near and far. They split their time between Cape Cod and Naples, FL, where they hosted numerous visits from family and friends. Nancy was a volunteer for several charities and organizations. In addition, she loved playing and competing in tennis and golf.

Above all else, she will be remembered for her devotion to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Catherine H. Bly and her husband, Nash, of Milton, MA; Jennifer Garfield and her husband, Larry, of Holland, PA; and John S. Homnick and his wife, Elizabeth, of Lexington, MA. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Nathan, Sam, Bennett, Graham, and Zachary; and her sister, Claire F. Collins and her husband, William, of West Hartford, CT.

Services and interment will be held at a later date.
