Helen B. Goldschmidt, of Bensalem, PA died on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Chandler Hall Hospice. She was 80.

She was the beloved wife of the late Bernard Goldschmidt and the late James M. Spears.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Leible) Schrier and sister of the late Frank, Ted, Joe and Paul Schrier.

Helen grew up in the Olney section of Philadelphia and after graduating from Little Flower High School in 1952 she began her career with the Internal Revenue Service as a clerk, where she worked for 30 years before retiring in 1981.

Helen enjoyed traveling, especially to the Jersey shore, playing the slots in Atlantic City and more recently at Parx Casino. She was also an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. To the end of her life, she maintained relationships with a sorority of friends from childhood. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with all her family, and her greatest gift to them was having been the lifelong caretaker of their mother Lillian.

She is survived by her three sisters, Catherine M. Kubiak of Richboro, Alma E. Sicilia of Huntingdon Valley, Mary L. Formica of Richboro and her sister -in-law Rita Schrier of Bensalem. She is also survived by her extended family of many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral services and interment will be held privately at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA.
