       Charles W. Combs, Jr., of Doylestown, died peacefully on Monday, December 29, 2014, at his residence with his family by his side. He was 88.

       He was the beloved husband of the late Joan B. Combs.

       Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Charles W. Sr. and Blanche Davis Combs and brother of the late Janice O’Neil and Earl Combs.

       Chuck as he was known to family and friends was a resident of Sellersville for over 30 years before moving to Doylestown in 2009. He was a graduate of Temple University with a degree in Engineering and his professional career spanned over 30 plus years with Philco-Ford. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army who enjoyed golf, bowling and shooting pool. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

       Chuck is survived by his dear niece Nancy C. Staudenmayer.

       His family will receive condolences on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 12:00pm until his Funeral Service 1:00pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. His interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.

       In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
