Arthur W. Vogel Jr. of Holland, PA died peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 85.

       He was the beloved husband of the late Thelma J. Aschmann Vogel.

       Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Arthur W. Sr. and Matilda Huether Vogel.

       Mr. Vogel has been a resident of Holland since 1968. He graduated from Frankford High School in Philadelphia, Class of 1947. He was a proud Navy veteran having served during the Korean War. He was employed as a designer draftsman at Fisher & Porter for over 35 years until his retirement in 1991.

       His favorite pastime was table tennis. He was one of the founding members of, and enjoyed playing with the Newtown Table Tennis Club. He liked spending time at home, working on his Sudoku and cryptograms, and lounging at his pool under his majestic redwood tree. He had a great love with his old classic Chryslers, especially the 1955 New Yorker. He was a family oriented man who enjoyed the special times spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

       He is survived by his four children; Arthur W. Vogel III and his wife, Sandy, of Bensalem, Randall B. Vogel and his wife, Kristin, of Doylestown, Daniel Drew Vogel and his wife, Valerie, of Southampton, and Dawn Marie White and her husband, William, of Holland, PA. His 8 grandchildren, Carrie, Leigh, Alison, William, Alissa, Michael, Daniel and Jim and 6 great grandchildren also survive him.

       Funeral services and interment will be held privately.
