Richard T. Clark, Sr. of New Hope died Monday, December 1, 2014 at Pine Run Health Center in Doylestown. He was 94.
Richard was the beloved husband of 71 years to Evelyn Marie Saleeba Clark.
Born in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas and Sarah Lavely Clark and brother of the late Bernard, David and Edward Clark.
Richard was born and raised in Johnstown, PA before moving to New Hope in 2004. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as a Gunners Mate during World War II. Richard was a steel worker with Bethlehem Steel and retired after 35 years of service. He was a former Communicant of Visitation B.V.M. Church in Johnstown and presently was a Communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Doylestown. In his leisure, he enjoyed working as a craftsman with model ships and was a train enthusiast. Richard enjoyed watching all sports and was a long term Phillies fan. He will be truly missed by his family and by all who came to know him. The Clark family would like to sincerely thank the Pine Run Health Center staff for their compassionate care of their loved one.
In addition to his beloved wife Evelyn, Richard is survived by his son, Richard T. Clark, Jr. and his wife Angela of Doylestown, his two cherished grand daughters, Kelly and Lisa and 3 great grandchildren, Katie, Mary and Nathan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday, December 4th from 9:00am until his Funeral Mass 10:30am in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5175 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown, PA 18902. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.
