Joseph A. Lachowicz, of the Somerton Section of Philadelphia, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 11th. He was 83.

Born in Mt. Carmel, PA, he was the son of the late Clement and Pauline Ozniski Lachowicz and the brother of the late Clement Lachowicz.

Joe was the beloved husband of 46 years to Nina Canino Lachowicz.

Joe was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force who proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. He was employed with Typographic Inc. in Philadelphia for over 40 years as a proofreader, and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. Joe will be greatly missed as a loving and ever devoted Husband and friend.

In addition to his loving wife Nina, Joe is survived by his sisters-in-law Mary A. Canino of Holland, PA, Susan Canino of New Hope, PA, and Joan Lachowicz of Vineland, NJ.

Joe’s family will receive friends on Monday, July 14th from 8:00am until his Memorial Service at 8:45am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954.

Interment will follow with Military Honors at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.

In Lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
