Robert T. Seaward of Jamison, PA died peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was 93.

        He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth M. Gannon Seaward.

Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late George W. and Viola G. Horn Seaward and brother of the late George W. Seaward.

        He was a resident of Jamison for the past 6 years and formerly lived in Bellmore, Long Island for 15 years.

        Before retiring in 1972, he was employed as a police officer in New York City for 28 years and retired with the rank of Lieutenant. He was a member of the New York 10-13 Association. He enjoyed history, loved all kinds of animals and was an avid reader. He also liked to exercise and lift weights.

        He is survived by his two daughters, Carole J. Mitchell and her husband, John, of Jamison, PA and Sister Barbara Seaward, O.P. of Amityville, NY. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren; Michelle C. Dauchy (David), John P. Mitchell (Anne) Jennifer B. Palmieri (Darren) and 8 great grandchildren.

        Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse Road, Jamison, PA 18929. Interment will take place on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Long Island National Cemetery, Long Island, NY.
