Lloyd E. Franklin Jr., of Doylestown, PA died on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Neshaminy Manor. He was 77.

He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Theresa Kindlan Franklin.

Born in Bryn Mawr, PA, he was the son of the late Lloyd E. Franklin Sr. and Anne C. Sullivan Franklin and brother of the late Julianne Griffin and John and Phillip Franklin.
Lloyd grew up in East Falls and graduated from Roman Catholic High School in 1949. He then went on to LaSalle University before joining the US Air Force and serving during the Korean War. After returning home he met and fell in love with his beloved Theresa, who he married in 1957 at St. David’s Church, Willow Grove. They remained in Willow Grove for years while Lloyd worked for the F.M.C. Corporation in Colmar, PA. When he retired in 1989, after 20 years of service he was the company’s regional credit manger. Then in 1994 they moved to Doylestown where they have enjoyed being parishioners of St. Jude Church.

Lloyd loved to be with his family. Moreover, he most especially enjoyed the time when he was teaching them how to fish. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Lloyd Franklin and his wife Ellen of Lansdale, Owen Franklin and his wife Patricia of Pottsgrove, PA, Kathryn Armstrong and her husband Jeff of Woodinville, WA, Jennifer Cameron and her husband Wayne of Lansdale, PA, his sister Mary Alice Franklin of West Chester.
