Rita Mangano of Newtown passed away on Tuesday October 12, 2010, with her loving husband and children by her side.  She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gaetan (Guy/Tommy) Mangano: her children: Paula A Reynolds of Newtown, John G Mangano and his wife Mary Ellen of Newtown, Gaetan P Mangano of Doylestown, and her beloved grandchildren: Lauren, Melissa, Marielle, Richard, Alyssa, and Julianne.

Rita was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School , class of 1956, and attended Bucks County Community College.  She was the Assistant Paymaster for Bell Telephone, a medical office manager, and a homemaker extraordinaire.

Rita was a resident of Newtown Borough for the past 35 years.  She was a member and officer of the Newtown Questors, and was a member of the Pickering Manor Auxiliary.  Her interests were in antiques and collectables, which lead to a successful & rewarding business for many years. She enjoyed travel, gardening, and the gourmet cooking arts, but her biggest focus and pride and joy came from life with her husband, children, & grandchildren, who were everything to her.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 15, 2010 from 9:45 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at the Olde Church of Saint Andrews, 135 S. Sycamore Street, Newtown, PA 18940.  Interment will be private.
