Benjamin F. Casole Jr. of Warminster died peacefully on Sunday, October 17, 2010, at Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington. He was 80 years of age.
Born in Detroit, MI, he was the beloved husband of 26 years to June T. McGee Casole and husband of the late Josephine Pingitore Casole.
He was the son of the late Benjamin F. Sr. and Dolores Pallante Casole and brother of the late Dolores Maloney.
Ben was a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School, Class of 1947. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. Ben worked as the Plant Manager for Camden Fiber Mills in Philadelphia for many years before retiring in 1980 when he went to work as Plant Manager for Dryden Oil Company in Warminster for 20 years and retired in 2002. For the past 8 years, Ben was in sales for Miller and Son Paving Co.
Ben gave his time and talents to his community; he served on the Warminster Park & Recreation Board for 4 years, the Warminster Zoning Board for 12 years and has been a member of the Warminster Board of Supervisors for 12 years. He also served as a member of the Water and Sewer Authority. He was a past member of the Board of Trustees of the former Warminster General Hospital and was active with their foundation and fund raisers.
Ben was a devoted husband and father who loved his family and enjoyed spending quality time with them in North Wildwood, NJ. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Ben will be deeply missed not only by his family but those with whom he worked and the community to which he was so dedicated.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his three children; Benjamin F. Casole III and his wife, June, of Bel Air, MD, Michael J. Casole and his wife, Regina, of Plano, TX and Kerry A. Konefal of North Wildwood, NJ. He is also survived by his five loving grandchildren, Benjamin F. Casole IV, Christina Christensen, Gary M. and Danielle Konefal, and William Eisler Jr., and four great grandchildren, Keeanna Lynn Christiansen, Dustin, Riley Anne and Evan Eisler.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday evening, October 21, 2010, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA and to his Funeral Mass on Friday, October 22, 2010, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Second Street Pike and Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966. Entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Friends of Warminster Canine Unit, C/O Warminster Township, 401 Gibson Avenue, Warminster, PA 18974 or to Bucks County Heroes Scholarship Fund, 1760 Easton Road, Doylestown, PA 18901.
