Richard C. “Dick” Linton of Pineville, died peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at his home. He was 71.

He was the beloved husband of 49 years to Marlene Peterman Linton.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Theodore and Marjorie Kenderdine Linton.

Dick has been a resident of Bucks County for over 48 years and has been given the nickname of “Mr. Dickie” by many children. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  He was a master mechanic employed with Stockburger Chevrolet in Newtown from 1960 to 1989. After his retirement he opened Gears and Rears in Pineville.  An avid midget and stock car racing fan, he enjoyed collecting model cars and tractors. Dick was a gentleman with a loving heart and a talent for fixing anything that had a motor.  He will be sorely missed by everyone that has come to know and love him.

In addition to his beloved wife, Dick has been an integral part of the lives of Cathy DeAngelis of Richboro and Barbara Miedel of Pineville and for over 30 years Dick has been a father figure to Cathy Micinilio and a grandfather figure to her children Catie and  Nicholas Micinilio of Trumbull, CT.

            Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 10:00AM until Words of Remembrance at 12:00 Noon at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will be conducted privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
