Edward J. Lisowski
Edward J. Lisowski of Huntingdon Valley, PA died peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2010, at St. Joseph’s Manor, Meadowbrook, PA. He was 86.
He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy H. Welsh Lisowski.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Alexander and Victoria Aponick Lisowski, father of the late Edward D. Lisowski, and brother of the late John Lisowski, Chester Lisowski, Stella Lisowski, Alice Kotlarek and Mary Leader.
Mr. Lisowski was a resident of Huntingdon Valley for 60 years prior to moving to St. Joseph’s Manor. Before his retirement, he was employed as a Maintenance Supervisor at Edith R. Rudolphy Residence for the Blind in Philadelphia for more than 40 years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Southampton for many years. In his leisure time, Mr. Lisowski was an avid hunter and an excellent woodworker.
He is survived by his one brother, William Lisowski and his wife, Clara, of Avalon, NJ as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Manor, 1616 Huntingdon Pike, Meadowbrook, PA 19046.
