Betty B. Buescher King, of Newtown, PA died on Friday, November 12, 2010, at Doylestown Hospital. She was 86 years old.
She was the devoted wife of 59 years to the late George W. K. King who passed in November of 2009.
Born in St. Louis, Mo, she was the daughter of the late Homer H. Buescher and Paula Vogt Buescher and sister of the late Robert Buescher of Broomall.
Mrs. King worked as a Dietician for Pickering Manor in Newtown for over 25 years. She was a resident of Upper Makefield Township for 47 years. She served on the Board of Elections from 1973 until 2005 and was elected Inspector and Judge of Elections for Upper Makefield Township District 2 during that time. She was a member of Newtown Presbyterian Church.
Betty will be greatly missed as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
Betty is survived by her two loving sons, William A. King of Newtown, and Bradley A. King and his wife Patricia A. of Newtown, her brother Homer “Tuck” Buescher, of Cincinnati, Ohio and her four dear grandchildren Emily, Drew, Melissa, and Kelsey.
Relatives and friends are invited to Call on Saturday, November 20 2010 from 10:00AM until her Memorial Service 11:00 am at Newtown Presbyterian Church, Washington Avenue and Chancellor Street, Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will be private. In Lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association Memorial Fulfillment Center, 5455 N. High St. Columbus, OH 43214.
