Joseph Peter Reilly of Ocean City NJ formerly of Holland died on November 12, 2010.  He was 71.

He was the beloved husband of 48 years to Kay Ann Hymel and father of the late Katy Reilly and brother of the late Jack Reilly.

Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late John J. Reilly Sr. and Mary Rose Cavanaugh Reilly.

Joe grew up in Lansdowne, PA and was honorably discharged from the US Marine Corps. He started the Joseph P. Reilly, Inc Insurance Agency in 1974 in Feasterville, PA. He earned numerous insurance designations (CLU, ChFC, REBC, RHU) and awards in the insurance industry as a top producer in his many years in business. Joe was also on the board of Directors of Twining Village in Holland and taught at the American College of Life Underwriters. In 1991, he realized his dream of living in Ocean City, NJ and commuted daily to the office. He enjoyed running the “boards” biking, working out at the gym and wave running with his friend’s and brothers.

In addition to his devoted wife he is also survived by his children, Amee Kurtz, Mimi Greger and husband Philip, Leanne Lyons and husband Rick, and Julie Keats and husband Andrew. He was also “Pop Pop” to Jason, Joshua, Jarod, Jessye, Emily, Elizabeth, Ricky and Maya Rose.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday from 9:45 am until his Funeral Mass 11:00 am at St. Francis Cabrini Church, 114 Atlantic Ave., Ocean City, NJ 08226. Rite of Committal Wednesday 1:30pm at Resurrection Cemetery 5201 Hulmeville Rd. Bensalem PA 19020 Joe’s memory can be honored by saying a rosary for the safe return of our military serving today and or a contribution to the American Legion, Morvay-Miley Post # 524, Post Office Box 363, Ocean City, NJ 08226 building fund.
