Charles E. Brown Jr. of Chalfont died peacefully on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Abington Memorial hospital. He was 54.
He was the beloved husband of 20 years to Kim Zimmerman Brown.
Born in Abington, he was the son of Charles E. Sr. and Elaine Danenberger Brown of Southampton, PA.
Charlie grew up in Southampton and was a 1974 graduate of William Tennant High School, and Penn State University with a degree in Psychology. After college he returned home and worked with various jobs in the landscaping and construction fields before settling in with Henkels & McCoy in Blue Bell, PA. For over 20 years he has been employed with them as well as a proud member of the Laborers Union Local 57.
Even when Charlie was not at work he enjoyed being outside playing golf and riding his road bicycle. He most especially enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends. Regardless if he was called Charlie, Sonny or even Uncle Buck, he will be sorely missed by everyone who has come to know and love him.
In addition to his wife Kim and parents Charles E. and Elaine Brown, Charlie is also survived by his sister Beth Doyle and her husband Jim of Haverhill, MA, his brothers Gregory Brown and Scott Brown and his wife Samantha all of Southampton, his Goddaughter Alison and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, November 27, 2010, from 9:00 AM until his Funeral Service 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 877 Street Road, Southampton, PA 18966. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.
