David M. Miller, Jr. of Langhorne died suddenly on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 78.
He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Joan M. Ryan Miller.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late David M. Miller Sr. and Catherine McLaughlin Miller.
David has been a resident of Langhorne and a Parishioner of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Holland for the past 32 years. He was a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School, class of 1951 and attended LaSalle University. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict.
David was National Sales Manager for CRC, Products an automotive chemical manufacturing company for over 20 years, and he retired in 1997. He was an avid reader, and had ear for music and enjoyed the outdoors especially working in his garden or walking his dog. He was a life long friend of Bill Wilson. David and his wife Joan loved to travel especially to Ireland, his mother’s homeland. His quick wit and everlasting smile will be deeply missed by his children and his loving grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his devoted children and their spouses; Martin J. Miller and Eileen of Levittown, David M. Miller, III and Amy of Holland, Mary C. Stackhouse and Mark of Newtown, Jean M. McCann and Blake of Richboro, and Theresa A. Stratton and Jeff of Holland. He is also survived by his sister Sally Sengpiel of Oak Brook, IL and 14 dear grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, December 2, 2010, from 9:00 AM until 10:45am and to his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Bucks County Association for the Blind 400 Freedom Dr. Newtown PA 18940 or to St. Bede Church Building Fund 1071 Holland Rd. Holland PA 18966.
