Karen M. Hines of East Greenville, PA died suddenly on Sunday, November 28, 2010, at her residence. She was 67.
Born in Amityville, NY, she was the daughter of the late J. Edward and Charlotte T. Singer Ireland.
Mrs. Hines was a resident of East Greenville, PA for the past 10 years. She was raised in Amityville and graduated from Amityville High School, Class of 1960. Karen was a homemaker and a devoted mother to her three children. She was an avid dog breeder and was passionate about all types of dogs and their welfare. Being family oriented, she especially enjoyed the times spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed as a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Hines of Burlington, NJ, her two sons, Timothy Hines and his wife, Sharon, of Shrewsbury, NJ, Daniel E. Hines and his wife, Elaine, of Chalfont, PA and her four loving grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Kim Ireland, Jack Ireland, and two sisters, Janet Coward and Lee Anne Ireland.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Gathering on Friday, December 10, 2010, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (Route 202 & Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain, PA 18901. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to The Humane Society, 640 Dixon Street, Allentown, PA 18103.
