John Christopher Richardson of Warminster and formerly of Philadelphia passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington. He was 82.

He was the beloved husband of Joan M. Taylor Richardson for 61 years.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Harold, Sr. and Florence Hesley Richardson.

After serving his country in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Korea, John went to work for the Budd Company in Philadelphia and retired in1995 after 41 years of dedicated service. John was an avid golfer and a member of the Budd Company Golf League. He was a passionate gardener who was completely obsessed with his roses. John was also a devout parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Warminster and a member of The Men of Malvern for many years.

In addition to his beloved wife Joan, John is survived by his five loving children; Joan C. Richardson, John C. Richardson and his wife Philomena, Kathryn Comyn and her husband Martin, Patricia Oliphant and her husband Jeffrey and Anne Marie Mayr and her husband Stephen. John was the much adored grandfather of his 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Harold Richardson Jr., (Ilse) and sister Marjorie Treston (Michael) and his long-time friend and spiritual brother, Donald Duffy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 9:00 am until his Funeral Mass 10:30 am at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 605 W. Street Rd. Warminster, PA 18974.

Interment will be private at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Nativity of Our Lord Church Building Fund at the above address or Mass Cards would be appreciated.
