Ruth F. Beck of Churchville died peacefully on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family. She was 95.
She was the beloved wife of the late John V. Beck.
Born in Plymouth, NC, she was the daughter of the late Stuart Newton and Helen Sullivan Matthias and mother of the late John V. Beck Jr.
Mrs. Beck was a resident of Churchville for the past 5 years and formerly lived in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia for 49 years. She was a past communicant of St. Timothy Church before joining St. Vincent de Paul Church in Richboro. Ruth was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling for many years. She always enjoyed the special times spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed as a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her two children, Robert J. Beck and his wife, Linda, of Churchville, Helen M. Spinelli and her husband, Michael, of Langhorne and her daughter-in-law, Betty Ann Beck of Medford, NJ. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Chandler Hall Hospice, 99 Barclay Street, Newtown, PA 18940.
