Christopher J. Gigliotti, Builder & Developer, passed away in his home on Monday, December 27, 2010. He was 80.

He was the beloved husband of 28 years to Carole Furst Gigliotti. Born in Philadelphia on December 20, 1930, he was the son of the late Columbo and Angelina Lizoli Gigliotti, and husband of the late Marian Shreiner Gigliotti.

Chris began his career in the building, development and construction industry in 1952 working along with his father as Welsh Verree Homes Inc. Chris was most recently Chairman of the Gigliotti Group in Newtown a third generation family owned business with 2 of his sons, Ron and John Gigliotti.

He was a graduate of Frankford High School and attended Millersville University.

He believed in giving back to his community and was involved in many activities; he was a Founding member and former Chairman of the Board of St. Mary Medical Center, Board of Trustees in Langhorne. An Active Member of the Board of Trustees of the Franciscan Health System, Aston, PA., Present Chairman of St. Mary Hospital Authority, Langhorne and President of One Watermark Association in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Chris Served on the Board of Directors of Frankford Trust Bank for many years, and was active in many business, civic and charitable organizations.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Chris Gigliotti and his wife Sharon Gigliotti of Doylestown, Ronald D. Gigliotti and his wife Carol of Newtown, and John C. Gigliotti and his wife Cathy of Bryn Athyn, PA and Carol Gigliotti & David Habermehl of Huntingdon Valley, PA. His 8 dear grandchildren, Nicholas, Jason, Stefan, Brittany, Matthew, Michael, Christina and Cassandra. And his sister Margaret Montemuro and her husband the Hon. Frank J. Montemuro Jr. Esq.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings Wednesday evening from 6:00pm to Words of Remembrance 8:00pm at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd. Newtown and Thursday morning, December 30, from 9:00am until his Funeral Mass 10:00 am at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, 1723 Race St. Phila. Entombment will be Private.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory maybe made to Pancreatic Cancer Research of Johns Hopkins, 100 N. Charles St. Baltimore, MD 21201, or the Sisters of St. Francis Foundation, 609 Convent Rd. Aston, PA 19014
