Christian J Keck, 83, of Warwick, PA passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010 at Abington Memorial Hospital due to complications from a heart attack.

He was born on April 12, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York.

Christian had a vast history of eclectic endeavors. He spent his formative years utilizing his innate talent for mechanics by working in a machine shop and then later repairing gaming machines at Coney Island. He was an avid pilot owning his own plane in his teen years, later he flew air transports to Alaska. He had exceptional skills for wood working that he pursued throughout his life; whether operating a cabinet and furniture-making shop or owning a children’s furniture business.
He retired in 1990 from Amtrak after thirty nine years of service. He began his railroad career firing steam engines with the Long Island Railroad; he was a railroad engineer with the New York Central, Pennsylvania Railroad and Amtrak. He served as a union organizer and later served as the elected president of the UTU local railway union. After retirement, he served as co-director of the Bucks County au pair placement service.

Chris was the loving husband of Roberta and a wonderful father to the late Christopher Keck and to his surviving children; Kathryne Hansell and husband John; Karen Trimble and Richard Brockway; Bradford Miller and wife Jill; Andrea Boyer and husband Michael. He also leaves behind his sister Ernestine Rein. He was a loving grandfather to Carrie Anne, Joshua, Jacob, Katie, Jessica, Amanda, Ross, Ethan, and Shane. With his loving nature, Chris has touched the hearts of many people throughout his life and most recently at Heritage Creek in Warwick, Pa; Ocean City, NJ and Port St Lucie, FL.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 2:00PM until his memorial service and words of remembrance at 3:00PM from the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road, (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will be conducted privately.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High St. Columbus, OH 43214.
