Daniel G. Kepich, age 60, formerly of Buckingham, Pennsylvania passed away January 15th after a battle with cancer.
Born in Colver, PA Daniel was the son of George and Ann Kepich of Ebensburg, Pennsylvania.
Daniel moved with his family to Fallsington, PA as a child. He went to Pennsbury Schools and started working at Snipes Nursery where his love of landscaping began. He graduated in 1968 and attended Delaware Valley College. He joined the National Guard Reserves and worked in the Motor Pool. In 1970 he started his own lawn service business and eventually went into landscaping.
His landscape projects have been prominently featured in various publications and he displayed his creative landscapes in the Philadelphia Flower Show for over 20 years. Originally, he was brought into the show displaying for the Pennsylvania Nurserymen’s Association. He then showed under his own business until retiring four years ago.
He was a devoted father that supported his children’s scholastic and athletic endeavors. He was also very active in the Doylestown Rugby Club for many years. In addition, he was an avid hunter that traveled to Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and British Columbia to hunt big game and his ashes will be spread around his favorite hunting spot in Colorado.
In addition to his parents, Daniel is survived by his children, Christopher Kepich of Holicong, Beth Kepich of Allentown and their mother, Susan Kepich. He is also survived by his siblings Alan Kepich and Corinne Sandefer, both of Virginia, as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 5th, 2011 from 1:00PM until the Words of Remembrance at 3:00PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (Route 202 and Sandy Ridge Road) New Britain, PA 18901.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Daniel’s name to the charity of your choice.
