William C. Haas of Holland died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Langhorne Gardens in Langhorne surrounded by his loving family. He was 83.
William was the beloved husband of 63 years to Mildred Pyett Haas.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William B. and Maria Jane Dougherty Haas, and the brother of the late Warren, Richard, Fred and Hubbard Haas and the late Dorothy Montgomery.
William was a resident of Holland for over 55 years having formerly resided in Doylestown and Rockledge. He was the owner of Holland Realty and worked along with C.W. Schrenk Builders for many years. William was Mason and a member of the W.K. Bray Lodge #410 F. & A.M. in Hatboro and an active member of the Northampton Lions for many years. He enjoyed boating, golfing, bowling and gardening in his leisure time. William was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II.
In addition to his beloved wife, Mildred, William is survived by his dearest children and their spouses, Sharon L. and John Schmidt of Wellington, FL, Bonnie and Richard Gregory of Malvern, William Randy and Michelle Haas of Red Lion, PA and Maria J. Haas and Charles Castellisi of Santa Rosa, CA. He is also survived by his brother George Haas of Bristol, his sister Joan Jones of Chapel Hill, NC and his 6 cherished grandchildren, Randy, Jared, Lauren, Jon, Chase and Jamie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Friday February 19, 2011 from 9:30am until his Funeral Service at 10:30 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Masonic Hall, 1 N. Penn Street, Hatboro, PA 19040.
