H. Joanne Huebner Weiss, of Holland died peacefully on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center. She was 69.
She was the beloved wife of 49 years to Erich G. Weiss.
Born in Sellersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Edith Gohlke Huebner
Mrs. Weiss was employed with St. Mary Medical Center as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed traveling the world over time and time again, and she especially enjoyed the special times she spent in Germany. Joanne’s deep religious convictions and faith in her Lord helped her to overcome what modern medicine predicted would be her life expectancy with her type of cancer. During her frequent doctor’s visits she was able to inspire others afflicted with cancer to fight the good fight and to believe in God. She will be sorely missed as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and inspiration to all.
In addition to her husband, Joanne is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law Eric W. and Donna Weiss of Allentown, PA, and her dear grandson William E. Weiss.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, February 18, 2011 from 1:00PM until her Funeral Service 3:00PM at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church 14100 Worthington Rd. Philadelphia, PA 19116. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church at the above address.
